1. Who we are

This website, jeffmessett.com, is operated by Jeff Messett, a sole proprietor doing business as Jeff Messett Insurance ("Jeff Messett Insurance," "we," "us"), based in Hollywood, Florida. Jeff Messett is a licensed insurance agent in Florida (license # P141963, NPN 8604012). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

• Information you give us: your name, phone number, email, ZIP code, the type of coverage you're asking about, and anything you choose to share in a form, call, text, email or appointment.
• Information needed to help with coverage: such as date of birth, household and income details, and the doctors and prescriptions you choose to share. We collect only what's needed to help you find, apply for or keep coverage, only when you ask for that help, and we use it only for that purpose.
• Information collected automatically: basic technical details such as device and browser type, pages visited and the site that referred you, through cookies (see section 6).

3. How we use your information

• To answer your questions and contact you in the way you agreed to.
• To compare plans and help you apply or enroll when you ask us to.
• To schedule and confirm appointments and send reminders.
• To send marketing calls and texts, but only if you agreed to them on our form (see section 4).
• To meet legal, licensing and insurance company requirements.
• To keep this website running and improve it.

4. Text messages (SMS)

Jeff Messett Insurance text messages. If you agree on our form, we text you at the mobile number you gave us about your request and appointments. If you also agree to marketing texts, we may send enrollment-period reminders and information about health insurance, Medicare, long-term care, small business group health and life insurance. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help (or call 305-423-9288). Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of purchase.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. The sharing described in section 5 never includes this information.

5. How we share information

We share information only as described here:

• Insurance companies, only when you ask us to quote or enroll you.
• The Health Insurance Marketplace and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), when required for an application you ask us to submit.
• Service providers that help us run the business: a customer relationship management (CRM) and website platform that hosts our forms and stores your messages, an online scheduling tool, enrollment and application platforms used to submit applications, and an e-signature service for required consent forms. We give them only the information they need to provide these services.
• When required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

6. Cookies and analytics

This site may use basic cookies needed to make the site work. In the future, we may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are visited. We do not sell this data or use it for third-party advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you do, some parts of the site may not work properly.

7. How long we keep information

We keep records as long as needed to serve you and as required by law and insurance regulations. For Medicare and Marketplace records, that can be up to 10 years. When we no longer need records, we delete them.

8. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of storing or sending information over the internet is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices

• Ask to see or correct your information, or ask us to delete it, by calling 305-423-9288 or using the contact form. Some records must be kept by law even if you ask us to delete them (see section 7).
• Opt out of texts by replying STOP, and out of emails with the unsubscribe link.
• Withdraw your consent to calls or texts at any time by telling us in any reasonable way.

Insurance privacy laws. As a licensed insurance agent, we follow the Florida and federal privacy laws that apply to insurance licensees, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. You can request access to or correction of your information by calling 305-423-9288.

10. Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information online from children under 13. You must be 18 or older to apply for coverage through us; a parent or guardian can apply for a child. If you believe a child has sent us information, call 305-423-9288 and we will delete it.

11. Other websites

Links to other sites, such as Medicare.gov, HealthCare.gov or an insurance company's site, are provided for convenience. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we don't control.
